Natasha Berg (b.1981) lives and works based in Norway.  She  studied art with Tor Kvarv in Bodo, Norway and took art course at the Florence Academy in Sweden.

"Creative process and materiality of paint and what it can do is what interests me and has been in the center of my work.  Norwegian coastline and it is vibrant life gives a lot of room to artistic expression and experimentation and it is where I find my main source of inspiration.

I attempt to translate the many elements of nature in front of me using paint, sometimes adding to what is not there or eliminating too much chaos. Paintings often start as sketches in the field or studio and later play an important role in developing larger pieces.  Besides oil, I work in other techniques such as acrylics, gouache and watercolour.

One can get a sense of place looking at my paintings, at the same time there is room for imagination."
